What You'll Do
Payroll
- Process accurate weekly and biweekly payrolls for 500+ employees.
- Administer payroll using ADP WorkforceNow or an equivalent payroll system.
- Maintain employee payroll records and process status changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, leaves, and terminations.
- Ensure payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related items are accurately processed.
- Research and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
- Partner with employees, managers, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related questions.
HR Generalist Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR questions, providing timely, helpful, and professional support.
- Partner closely with the HR team to support day-to-day HR operations.
- Support employee relations activities and help ensure employees are treated consistently and respectfully.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, respond to employee questions, and participate in the annual open enrollment process.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and manage the employee status change process.
- Assist with leave administration and other employee programs.
- Support company events, employee celebrations, and activities that strengthen our culture.
- Administer our online Awardco employee recognition and rewards platform.
Compliance
- Support compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain working knowledge of FLSA, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, and other applicable employment requirements.
- Assist with Affirmative Action Plans and required reporting.
- Support VETS-100/VETS-4212 reporting and other required government filings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
- Stay current on changes in employment and payroll regulations that may impact the organization.
HR Communications
- Help create and distribute our weekly HR newsletter.
- Develop employee communications, announcements, and HR updates.
- Create posters, flyers, and other communications that make information easy for employees to understand.
- Help communicate HR programs, benefits, events, policies, and company initiatives in a clear and engaging way.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with ADP WorkforceNow or an equivalent payroll system.
- 2+ years of HR Generalist experience with a broad understanding of HR practices.
- Experience supporting payroll for 500+ employees is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll compliance.
- Understanding of employment regulations including FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and EEOC requirements.
- Some experience with benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, employee recognition, and communication platforms.
