Are you currently enrolled in a Machining or Tool & Die program and looking to gain real-world manufacturing experience? At Wilson Tool, our Manufacturing Internship Program gives students the opportunity to apply what they're learning in the classroom while working alongside experienced professionals in a world-class manufacturing environment.

This paid internship is designed to help you develop technical skills, explore multiple areas of manufacturing, and build a strong foundation for your career—all while working around your school schedule.

Many of our interns transition into full-time careers with Wilson Tool after graduation.

What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Intern, you'll rotate through various manufacturing departments approximately every 6–9 months, giving you broad exposure to our operations and helping you discover where your interests and strengths align.

Throughout the program, you'll gain hands-on experience with:

  • CNC machine setup and operation
  • Manufacturing processes and production workflows
  • Assembly and product inspection
  • Material handling and inventory movement
  • Order picking and shipping
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
  • Preventive machine maintenance
  • Quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives
  • Working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in a Technical College program pursuing a degree in:
    • Machining
    • Tool & Die
  • Ability to apply classroom knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic math skills, including measuring dimensions and tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Dependable, motivated, and eager to grow
