JOB SUMMARY: A CNC Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment. The CNC Mechanical Maintenance Technician diagnoses problems, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts; and reassembles machines. He/she also performs routine lubrication and PM's (preventive maintenance) on all CNC machines to keep the CNC machinery and mechanical equipment in good working condition.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PMs) on industrial production equipment including CNC metal fabrication equipment and facilities related equipment. This includes, but not limited to, changing coolants, lubrication, and making mechanical adjustments
Maintains and repairs equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications
Troubleshoot and repair many of the following systems; Servo and Spindle Drive Systems, CNC systems, Electronic/Electrical/PLC Systems; Pneumatic/Hydraulic systems, Mechanical systems, measuring and adjustment of machine geometries
Assists in the installation of new equipment as well as the generation of maintenance documentation and procedures
Execute general maintenance work orders
Record repairs, PM tasks, work orders, etc. in Preventative Maintenance software
Participate in and support Kaizen and continuous improvement activities
Other additional maintenance duties as needed per Maintenance Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong mechanical ability and experience, familiarity with manufacturing and machining environment, mechanics and electrical
Good communications skills for understanding tasks and instructions
Knowledge of all maintenance tools and equipment
High school education or equivalent
Technical degree in automation and robotics or similar program preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years Maintenance and/or Mechanical background required

COMPENSATION
Mechanical Maintenance Pay scale, plus shift premium. $31.03 -$38.74 Per hour DOQ plus applicable shift premium.$1.00 per hour.
