Returns Specialist & Specials Expeditor

Summary:
The Returns Specialist & Specials Expeditor plays a crucial role in managing returns, facilitating rework and repair jobs, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, the Punching Sales Desk, and the Specials shop. This position is responsible for processing returns, quoting and entering rework orders, and providing updates on Special orders. Strong customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational efficiency are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Act as the primary contact for tooling rework, sharpening, and returns.
•    Receive, inspect, and process returned tooling, issuing credits when applicable.
•    Investigate and resolve tooling-related issues with customers and internal teams.
•    Quote and order replacement or rework tooling, ensuring accurate order processing.
•    Assess tooling grind life and determine appropriate next steps.
•    Collaborate with the Specials team to provide customers with timely order updates.
•    Work with other Value Streams to ensure proper tooling inspection.
•    Manage phone and email communications regarding returns, repairs, and special orders.
•    Train new personnel on return processes and best practices.
•    Finding more efficient methods to the returns process, reducing costs, and improving customer service.

Qualifications:
•    High School Diploma or GED required.
•    Experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred.
•    SAP experience is a plus.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
•    Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs occasionally.
•    Continuous exposure to an indoor manufacturing environment.
•    Occasional exposure to chemicals and/or fumes.
•    Frequent standing, walking, and working on a computer.
•    Required use of industry-standard safety equipment, including eye protection.

Work Environment:
•    Inside; manufacturing floor.
Work Hours:
•    Full-time, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

PAY: $24.59 - $33.70 DOQ
